About Us
Monarch Capital was founded by David B Harvey, former President and
CEO of Monarch Insurance Brokers Limited and Monarch Registries. Mr.
Harvey purchased Monarch Insurance Brokers of Edmonton in Sept of
1975. Under Harvey's direction, Monarch grew from a small personal
lines agency to a significant Alberta based commercial property and
casualty brokerage. David's expertise was that of Professional
Liability, Errors and Omissions Insurance, Professional Indemnity,
Malpractice, along with for Profit and Non-profit Directors and
officers Liability Insurance. David was tribulazied by Lloyds London
in 1982 and underwrote and placed significant volumes of business with
Lloyds London, as well as remained in the role of President and CEO of MIBL
through its significant growth and prosperity.
Mr. Harvey was founder and president of Monarch Registries, one of
Alberta's leading Registry offices. In 2005 Mr. Harvey sold Monarch
Insurance Brokers Limited and in August 2013 Monarch Registries was
sold.
Shortly prior to the sale of Monarch Registries David B Harvey founded
and commenced the operation of "Monarch Capital". Monarch Capital is a
small but comprehensive lender specializing in leasing, financing and
small loans both for commercial and personal purposes.
In addition to its lending operations, Monarch Capital also
specializes in Commercial Insurance Surveys, Risk Analysis and Audits.
Along with preparation of insurance specifications for commercial
insurance tender and quotation use.
We can provide a broad range of lending
facilities and commercial insurance audit, survey and risk analysis
services, in a very effective and efficient manner.
Because we are of a boutique nature, we make a point of getting to know
the business, social and economic environment in which our clients
